KELVIA MITRI-MEDA is a multi- award winning professional oriental dance artist/choreographer.

She is the owner of the Viva Dance & Fitness Center for the Arts and is the founder of the Middle Eastern Dance Academy of CT (MDA). Kelvia is the trainer to several professional oriental dance artists currently in business today. Since opening the MDA, Kelvia has help launch 8 professional dancers across CT, MA, and RI.

Kelvia’s “Going Pro” program at the MDA has become the training center for artists seeking to break into the business or further their craft to new heights. You can identify her academy graduates because most of them honorably carry or have carried the last name MEDA, or utilize her signature “party starter” format for their shows. Kelvia is the producer and director or CT’s first Professional Oriental Dance Team, known as the “MDA Girls“, and CT’s first Kids/Teens dance group known as the “MDA Kids”.

Kelvia travels to the Middle East often!

Kelvia has performed, trained, and taught workshops in Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan. Having lived in the Middle East allows Kelvia the ability to connect deeper with the arts to bring you a more authentic cultural experience. Kelvia brings with her over 20yrs of professional entertainment experience, which makes her a flawless natural when it comes to engaging & connecting with her audience. Kelvia is a powerhouse!
